You may have heard of the bone broth diet made from either beef or chicken bones simmering for hours. The beef broth diet has many benefits for excellent health!
Bone broth is exactly what it sounds like. You drink beef broth made from boiled beef bones. This liquid diet is high in protein and vitamins, aiding in joint pain, memory, better hair and nails and overall health.
Packed with fat-burning nutrients, skin-tightening collagen components, and gut-healing and anti-inflammatory properties, bone broth is the key to looking and feeling younger.
I first heard about the benefits of bone broth in 2017 as local grocery stores were always sold out of raw bones, which I purchase for my German Shepherd. I made 3 different trips to 3 different butchers at the grocer, to find they had all been sold out.
Butchers said they can’t keep beef bones in stock due to the bone broth diet so many people are doing. Beef bones are bought up as soon as they arrive in the store.
People had discovered the beef bone broth diet and were buying up bones daily. The most popular way to make bone broth is to boil beef bones with raw vegetables on low in a slow cooker for 24 hours and drink the broth left behind.
That’s too much work and expense for most people, including me. I don’t want to be simmering beef broth daily.
You can buy cartons of organic beef broth or dehydrated beef broth, where you just add hot water. This is what I am doing now. No need to prep, cleanup or schedule time for making bone broth.
One of my coworkers has been drinking beef broth every day for lunch. She drinks bone broth for the weight loss benefits. She said she also feels more alert and generally “with it.”
Being that I love comfort food and soup is one of my favorite all time meals, I placed an order today for the dehydrated, just add hot water beef broth.
I found a butcher who carries beef bones and will cut them to size.
I have the butcher cut the bones in 4″ long lengths. The beef bones are frozen for 48 hours before giving them to our GSD (German Shepherd Dog.) This kills any bacteria or anything on the meat or marrow inside the bone. I can’t bring myself to give her a raw beef bone. I can’t trust that.
Some bone broth benefits are combating inflammation and healing the gut. Because the gut is the root of overall health, following the bone broth diet has helped many people improve the symptoms of diabetes, high blood pressure, skin conditions, mood swings, and more.

11/15/2018 UPDATE: I received the bone broth from lono life and love it. I have one a day at work and on the weekends for lunch at home. It tastes really good, as you would expect a delicious broth to taste. Low sodium and great taste, I find it perfect. I do feel satisfied when hungry, after sipping this. If I am hungry I just have an apple or banana to get me passed the few hours until dinner time. Highly recommended. Just add one packet to 8-10 oz. of hot water, stir and you’re set.
