Best blender for smoothies – NutriBullet Pro – How to lose weight fast

The best blender for smoothies would have to be the nutribullet line of blenders, preferably the nutribullet pro. This is definitely the best money I ever spent!

I was never into snacking or eating bad but wanted an alternative for healthy food mainly due to high cholesterol (it’s just how my body is.) Also, there are times I don’t feel like making anything for dinner and I never eat fast food.

I have friends and family who are overweight from eating fast food every other day or every day at times. Also, they drink pop / soda, have too much sugar, donuts, cake, cookies, high fructose corn syrup, and all that stuff will hurt your health.

I’m no health expert by any means but I know what not to eat. Protein is very important and the average person should have no more than 60 grams of fat a day! People think counting calories is the thing to do. Start counting the fat and you’ll see large weight loss fast.

Did you know the average italian beef sandwich has around 55 grams of fat? That’s your entire day of fat. Technically if you wanted to lose weight, you would eat this and nothing else with fat the entire day.

The biggest reason I got this smoothie blender is convenience. I don’t feel like making food at times and they taste great. The bonus is they’re healthy for you!

Start drinking protein shakes such as these. You don’t have to be a muscle head to drink protein shakes. I never thought I would drink them but these are awesome.

Labrada protein shakes are delivered to my door each month via amazon. It’s what I drink each morning for breakfast and they’re filling. If I want a snack later at night, instead of pop / soda, I’ll grab another one of these chocolate smoothies. I was surprised how great the Labrada brand is. These Labrada smoothies have 40 grams of protein, are pre-made and taste great! 40 grams protein is half the amount the average person needs daily. These protein shakes contain zero sugar but are sweet and taste like chocolate milk…not some nasty powder drink. Try them out! There are a few different flavors.

I was looking at blenders for smoothies and my cousin recommended the nutribullet pro. She has the nutribullet pro at home and the nutribullet at work.

First time using it I had a smoothie within 5 minutes. The box includes a lot of different smoothie recipes based on your goal…toxin removal, weight loss, energy boost, etc.

My first smoothie included a banana, frozen strawberries, handful of spinach leaves, 1/2 cup of milk and oats. I also threw in a small orange, peel and all. Within seconds everything was blended with the 900w motor!

The smoothie tasted great and was very filling, with absolutely no pulp or solid particles. I got my fruit and veggies for the day. Tonight I will do the same, throwing in some nuts and apple (no apple core.)

Cleanup took about 30 seconds. All you need to do is wash the cup you drank from, which is also the container it blends in.

I absolutely love this nutribullet and will be buying the smaller one for work for easy quick healthy lunches. Now I don’t have to feel guilty for having a burger or pasta for dinner. I plan on half my week being smoothies once a day. They are filling and taste great!

By the way, I didn’t taste the spinach at all…mainly banana and strawberry!

It’s obviously better to eat more food with protein with less fat content. Start counting your fat and you will be amazed how much you take in daily. Sugar converts to fat instantly so sugars and cookies and cakes should be avoided. Cheating here and there is fine.

I add this protein powder by Labrada to the smoothie mix.

I love bread but don’t have it as much. Carbs break down into sugar very fast and pack on the weight. I love bread but got used to not having it.

Start eating less sugar products like cookies or cake or pastry. Cut back on sugar. I still have sugar in my coffee and will never give that up. It’s all about moderation.

Stop drinking pop / soda. You will lose about 5 pounds in a week after you stop drinking soft drinks.

I lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks easily. Following are things I have done that are quick, effective and work with very little effort to lose weight fast.

Yes, you should workout and yes you should watch what you eat, but what I want to talk about today will get you to lose the weight fast, with little effort, if you follow what I did.

These weight loss steps will help you look better, feel better, and even hopefully start you to slowly get on track to losing more weight….and there is no working out required…but that helps.

It’s hard to find time to workout and stay with it. It is really discouraging and difficult to change behavior. We all know this.

When you lose weight, you will notice it in your face first and then your stomach and frame. It’s nice to see my bone structure again and have people notice. This morning a coworker said it looks like I lost weight. I didn’t tell anyone I was trying, so that compliment was great!

HERE’S WHAT I DID TO LOSE 15 POUNDS IN 2 WEEKS:

  1. I drank this protein drink that tastes like chocolate milk. I LOVE IT. It’s 40 grams protein and has no sugar but is sweet! I have one or sometimes 2 a day.
  2. DO NOT DRINK ANY POP / SODA! You will see 5 lbs. weight loss after one week.
  3. I didn’t eat carbs such as bread or rice. If I did, I took really small servings.
  4. Nothing with sugar such as donuts or cake or coffee cake (yeah I know.)
  5. No candy…again, NO SUGAR! One piece here and there is ok but that’s it.
  6. Cereal for dinner a couple times a week, by quaker oats. Tastes great.
  7. I still drank coffee with milk ( no cream: too much fat) and little sugar.
  8. Make sure you DON’T have more than 60 grams of fat a day!
  9. If you get hungry, have an apple or banana or oatmeal or fruit.
  10. If I made a burger at home, there was no bun, no bread.
  11. LIMIT YOUR PORTIONS. DON’T EAT UNTIL FULL! You get used to it fast.
  12. Drink a glass of water before eating…it will fill you up so you eat less.
  13. Go for a daily walk and get moving….just walk a mile or two a day.
  14. Grilled chicken breast or two is very low in fat and great for you! No bread with it, no bun, no sauce toppings…Try tomato or other vegetables with it for flavor. Get creative. Add olive oil or garlic to it.
  15. Healthy Choice tv dinners taste great. These are my dinner 3-4 times a week. The portions are a little small but you get used to it.
  16. Make a smoothie. Here’s the Nutribullet blender I bought to make perfect smoothies. I use 1 banana, frozen strawberries, 1 cup milk, splash of honey, this chocolate protein powder (no sugar but it’s sweet) and quaker oats in a blender and blend! I have 2 large cups sometimes for dinner. Very healthy and cheap to make and it fills you up!

I had pasta at times, which I LOVE, but limited my portions from a large bowl to small bowl. I cut my portions in half. If I was hungry after that, I’d have coffee or water or the protein drink. You get used to eating smaller portions, trust me.

 I HIGHLY SUGGEST THIS PROTEIN DRINK. It was key to me losing the weight. I love this chocolate drink; they have other flavors as well. The banana is really great too. I’m addicted to it. No sugar at all but it’s sweet. I have it on monthly auto order from Amazon.

how to lose weight with labrada powder proteinYou can also get the LABRADA in powder only and easily mix yourself or add in a smoothie…I use this as well in my smoothies. It’s cheaper when you use the powder only.

Drinking water will help you further in losing weight. Here are the benefits of drinking water. To be honest, I need to spend more time with the water drinking, as I have not been drinking that much of it. Your body needs water, at least 50% of your body weight in ounces a day. If you weight 200 lbs you need at least 100 ounces of water a day.

I would suggest, as you feel up to it, to do sit ups, enhancing the weight loss in your stomach. Put your toes under the couch to anchor you and start with one or two a day if you have to. Work up slowly.

As you get more advanced, take longer walks, then walk faster, working up to a minor jog for half a block or so. You don’t need to get crazy with working out! Start at a slow pace so it’s comfortable and fun for you. The key is to get moving to burn that fat away while doing what I talked about above.

DON’T LOAD YOUR BODY WITH SUGAR! SUGAR IS TOXIC. IT CREATES WEIGHT!

HEALTHY EASY SNACKS:

IF YOU GET HUNGRY and need to snack, I suggest nuts such as peanuts or cashews or whatever you like. Pretzels are also great. I read somewhere you should “eat like a caveman.” This would be nuts, fruits, vegetables.

Another thing I did was throw a couple frozen bananas, half cup of milk and a handful of strawberries in a blender with a squeeze of honey. INSTANT AWESOME SHAKE! Honey is good for you and it’s nature’s antibiotic.

Make a few hard boiled eggs the night before work and take to work as a snack. Good for you and 8 grams protein each.

A heaping tablespoon of peanut butter drizzled with honey is really good for you and tastes great if you need something sweet.

You may have heard of the bone broth diet made from either beef or chicken bones simmering for hours. The beef broth diet is exactly what it sounds like. You drink beef broth made from boiled beef bones. This liquid diet is high in protein and vitamins, aiding in joint pain, memory, better hair and nails and overall health.

Packed with fat-burning nutrients, skin-tightening collagen components, and gut-healing and anti-inflammatory properties, bone broth is the key to looking and feeling younger.

 

I first heard of this beef broth diet in 2017 as local grocery stores were always sold out of raw bones, which I purchase for my German Shepherd. I made 3 different trips to 3 different butchers at the grocer, to find they had all been sold out.

The butchers said they can’t keep the beef bones in stock. They’re bought up as soon as they arrive in the store. People had discovered the beef bone broth diet and were buying up bones daily. From what I have read, you boil beef bones with raw vegetables on low in a slow cooker for 24 hours and drink the broth left behind.

That’s too much work and expense for most people, including me. I don’t want to be simmering beef broth daily. You can buy cartons of organic beef broth or dehydrated beef broth, where you just add hot water. This is what I am doing now. No time necessary to prep, no cleanup, and easier to have for lunch at work.

One of the girls at work has been drinking beef broth every day for lunch. She doesn’t need to lose weight but I noticed that she has a bit. She said she also feels more alert and generally “with it.”

Being that I love comfort food and soup is one of my favorite all time meals, I placed an order today for the dehydrated, just add hot water beef broth. I am looking forward to receiving the 10 packs of goodness and will be reporting here, updating this blog…SO STAY TUNED!

I found a butcher who carries beef bones and will cut to size. I was very excited but that didn’t last. These health conscious people found this butcher and purchased all bones within a couple of days. UGH!

beef bone diet for protein and healthy weight loss

I have the butcher cut the bones in 4″ long lengths. The bones are frozen for 48 hours before giving them to our GSD (German Shepherd Dog.) This kills any bacteria or anything on the meat or marrow inside the bone. I can’t bring myself to give her just raw warm bone. I can’t trust that.

The bone broth diet is effective in combating inflammation and healing the gut. Because the gut is the root of overall health, following the bone broth diet has helped many people improve the symptoms of diabetes, high blood pressure, skin conditions, mood swings, and more.

 

Check back to this blog for updates. I am of average build but would like to lose 5 pounds at least. I’ll let you know how it goes and how it makes me feel, as I work a lot and get tired out easily.

lono life beef bone broth diet

11/15/2018 UPDATE: I received the bone broth from lono life and love it. I have one a day at work and on the weekends for lunch at home. It tastes really good, as you would expect a delicious broth to taste. Low sodium and great taste, I find it perfect. I do feel satisfied when hungry, after sipping this. If I am hungry I just have an apple or banana to get me passed the few hours until dinner time. Highly recommended. Just add one packet to 8-10 oz. of hot water, stir and you’re set.
